The Arm of Chaos, when fully constructed, will be an air-muscle-driven chaos pendulum. For small motions, the pendulum is linear, but its overall motion is chaotic. Unfortunately, the single attractor of any gravity-driven system is its rest state.

Rest is for the weak.

By driving the pendulum with air muscles or pneumatic cylinders, energy can be added to keep it in motion. By exploiting resonance, the system will be able to move far more violently than it’s drive systems would seem to allow.

The finished arm will have a variable weapon loadout, but will be designed for either a blade, or a taser. Hypothetically, the whole system could be run on compressed propane, and decompression cycles of the pneumatics (propanematics?) could vent past ignitiors, but then all the valves would have to be either A) solvent-resistant or B) irritatingly failure-prone.

Status: Currently gathering parts. Webbing and control valves for the air muscles are in storage, compressor is available, air tank acquired (actually a lot of options for this). Planning to use bleached, bone-styled oak for some of the main limb supports. Resurrect Dead!
